IMBROS GORGE WALK
Imbros gorge is in the South East part of the White Mountains, its length is 7km, and has slopes up to 300m high. It is famous due to the rare flora and the beautiful landscape all over the area. The walk starts from the traditional Cretan village Imbros (800m high) and ends in the village Komitades (300m high).
Before starting the walk there is a small cafe, if you wish to grab a coffee or local breakfast.
After the short break, you will then start the walk through the gorge which is downhill, with a guide who will point out the native plants & give you information about the whole area.
The walk takes about 3 hours & finishes at the village of Komatades where you can have lunch in a local taverna with the view of the Libyan Sea.
You will then be driven down to the seaside village of Chora Sfakia where you can relax at one of the little cafe/tavernas on the water front overlooking the sea or take a dip at the little beach which is on the far side of the village of Chora Sfakia.
You will be returned to the same point as the morning pick up.
