*Prices are bases on a daily rate for rentals with a minimum of 7 days.

2. Start time should be same as finish time as cars are rented on 24 hr basis.

4. If you need booster seats for young kids or child seats for toddlers ages 10 months - 2 years old.

Terms & Conditions 
when hiring a Car on Crete

Drivers Age: Minimum age 23 for Groups B & C. For all other groups minimum age 25.

Extra Driver: No charge for 2nd driver – maximum 2 drivers.

License: A full driving licence held for a minimum of 1 year. (If Licence is in Non-European, it must be accompanied with an International Driving Licence) and a valid credit card is required
when collecting the car ( this cannot be a pre-paid or debit card).


Fuel: Cars are supplied with a certain amount of fuel and Credit Card details are taken. If the car is not returned with same amount of fuel, a refueling charge will be made to your card.

Credit Card: Essential to have when you take the car, for fuel and damage charge and CDW excess.

GPS device: 5€ per day

Delivery Charges: Free daytime delivery to Chania Airport or accommodation around Chania area between 08.00-21.00. 

For delivery or collections at Heraklion Airport or town 08.00-21.30, there is a fee of 70€ per way, as the car hire companies are from Chania town & there is a cost for them for deliver/collect in the Heraklion region.

Charges after 21.30: 
Deliveries at Chania or Heraklion between 21:30 – 00:00 extra cost is 25€ and from 00:00 until 08:00 extra cost 40€.  For Heraklion region, this is in addition to the Delivery Charges. 

Roof Racks: Not available.

Child Seats & Boosters: There is a €3 per day, for either a child seat or booster seat.  It must be specified when booking, if you wish to have one upon arrival. This must be paid in cash on arrival.

Note: Some cars have limited luggage space and with a full complement of passengers, it may be difficult to carry all your suitcases, so please ensure you choose the correct Group.

​Our Car Hire prices in Crete include: unlimited mileage, road service, 3rd Party Liability & Property Damage Insurance,  plus all local taxes and airport fees. There is a Collision Damage Waiver excess which applies to each group ie.
€500 for Groups B - C
€600 for Groups D - E 
€800 for Groups G - G2 - H - H2 -  I3 - I4 - K

Car Hire Contract: Upon delivery of the car, driver(s) will be asked to sign the car hire company's conditions of hire, making the rental the subject of a direct contract between each driver and the car hire company. The car models specified in each group are only an indication of the type of car available and may be substituted with cars of a similar size and engine capacity. 

Deposits:  For high season bookings or the larger groups & automatic cars, you will be asked to send the car hire company a small deposit. This secures your booking and assures the car hire company that you will be coming. There is a limited number of large/specialty vehicles. This is a non-refundable deposit. The balance is paid upon delivery by credit card or cash.

Insurance: We emphasize that the insurance does not cover damage to windscreens, wing mirrors, tires or the underneath of the car. No insurance plan covers these parts of the car. You will be held responsible for the full cost of any necessary repairs.

Please therefore take special care when driving on bad roads, especially at night, when potholes are not always obvious.

If driven off road, the insurance is invalid.

We ask you to ensure that the car you book is large enough for the number of persons in your party as overloading the vehicle invalidates your insurance and can result in the car hire company's refusal to accept your reservation.
