Discover Diving for beginners

Have a real adventure whilst on Crete & take a short course in diving!
Join the professional team (PADI licensed) who gives you all the necessary details to take your first dive in the Cretan Sea and enjoy the wonders of the underwater world. No experience is necessary, just the ability to swim, is a must!

All the Instructors and Dive Masters are PADI Certified and adhere to the strict international standards of PADI dive education and safety. The Dive Center is located close to the sea.

​There is a morning group or afternoon group so you can choose which part of the day you wish to join or you may have to be flexible and join the next available course.  The whole trip takes approx. 3 hours from the intro to the actual dive itself. All you need to bring is your swimsuit & towel for when you are finished. You will be given a locker to put all personal items in while you are doing the course & dive.

All participants will be provided an e-learning Discover Scuba Manual (link online) which includes all required documents that need to be completed before the dive ie. medical statement, theory content and certification verifying the completion of  the PADI       
​e-course.

Itinerary 

• Instructors will go through the basic principles of scuba diving 
• Explanation of equipment, principles and signals & diving skills.
• Hand out of equipment
• Training session

Once suited up, you are taken to the sea in confined water where you will practice the basic skills and hand signals. When the instructor is satisfied with the exercises and you feel comfortable underwater, then you get to  experience scuba diving & the underwater world.
It is a 30-45 minute dive and to a maximum depth of 12 meters. 

get padi certification

Obtain a PADI certification (Internationally recognized) on a two day course. Theory, underwater exercises, basic scenario skills and 2 open water dives. with max depth 12m. Price includes: transfers, full insurance & full equipment.

​PRICE FOR THE DISCOVER DIVING

Price per person  from 11 years and up : € 103
Price for Bubblemakers (children 8-10yrs) : € 95
NOTE:  Bubblemakers do the course but the instructor holds them just below the surface of the water when in the sea.

​Pick up time: 08.40-09.00 OR 13.40-14.30
(depending on where you are staying- see the Pick up Points page )
(Pick ups from Kolymbari to Chania & as far as Kalives & Akrotiri, are minimum of 3 people) 

Make your own way to the center:
If you are not on the pick up route & are staying further away, you can also make your own way to the dive center & park nearby.
 
Duration of Discover Diving Trip (incl refresher of theory & practice):
-3 hours approx.

Price includes:
-Full Insurance 
-All equipment - wet suit, masks & tanks.
-English/French speaking PADI instructors
-Transfers with air-conditioned mini bus to the dive center
-Use of a locker at the diving center for your personal belongs 

Requirements for participants:

• No experience in diving, just the ability to swim 
• Minimum age is  8 years old.

advanced diver trips

For the experienced certified divers there are a range of dive sites to enjoy the underwater life of Crete.
Each trip includes a boat ride of 20-25mins.  
Cost of trip includes transfers, insurance and 2 different dive spots

How to book

Covid rules: You will need to wear a mask on the transfer to & from the dive center.
