Holidaying on Crete

Over our 30+ years of living on Crete we have gathered lots of local tips and hints to help holidaymakers make the most of their stay on Crete. 
The guide gets updated each year during the off season in winter.

We try to keep the list of tavernas undated when new ones pop up  but the old favorites seem to stay on the list.

We are working on creating a Google Map for the beaches & tavernas so keep on eye on these web pages as well.

It's main purpose it to serve as a useful tool for those traveling with Freelance Holidays trading as Freelance Villas & normally (pre-Covid-19) a hard copy was provided in each accommodation.
