GRAMVOUSA /BALOS "EXPRESS" COACH

Join the smaller coach which seats  34 passengers & takes you to the Kissamos port to get on the boat.
This is a transfer only, no guide is on the coach.  It is called the express because it is a smaller coach, there will be less pick up stops.​ You arrive at the port of Kissamos at approx. 09.30 and are usually the first coach at Kissamos, which means you get the choice of seats on the boat.

You depart on one of the boats either 10.00 or 10.20 & take the journey to Gramvousa/Balos.
You will stop have two stops, at the island of Gramvousa where you can walk up to the fortress ruins or stay down on the beach for a swim and the second stop is on the beach of Balos. Where you will spend the majority of the day. 
(*Note you may go to the beach first & then to Gramvousa island) 
You can buy food & drink on the boat from the self-service bar or at the beach of Balos where there is a canteen. Umbrellas & sunbeds are also for hire on Balos beach  or if you want an umbrella you can rent one from the boat, or take your own) There isn't any shade on the beach.

The boat returns to Kissamos harbour approx 17.45-18.15 (weather plays a factor) and you will get back on the coach & be returned to the pick up point.

Arrival back into Chania town is approx 19.00 - 19.15

On the day you pay the €1 to the driver for the environmental tax.

This trip is a long day in the sun & we do not recommend it for very young children.

 Excludes- Payable on the day:

• The driver of the coach will collect the €1 for the town council's environmental tax.
• Food & drink not included.
• Food & drinks are available at the self-service bar which is open throughout the cruise, offering Cretan traditional delicacies and other dishes (souvlaki, chicken with potatoes, steak with potatoes in the oven, stuffed peppers and tomatoes, Greek salad, pizza, toast, sandwiches, soft drinks, pastries, wine, beer, ice cream, coffee, etc.).

You may also rent umbrellas from the boat which are €4 for the day.
